|
Tokaido Japan utilizes a 100% cotton canvas that has been developed exclusively for
their top of the line "TSAU" tournament-cut and "SAU" standard-cut karate gi.
The "Ultimate Canvas" uses the highest grade of cotton for its base. This is not
a common practice in the production of canvas, which usually employs lower grades of cotton.
This approach allows Tokaido Japan to offer karate gi that have approximately twice
the tensile strength and tear resistance, with about 20% more friction resistance
than those made with the more common canvas available to other
manufacturers.
